About JES

The NEW Herman T. Jones Elementary is located at 35753 Owens Rd. JES is one of five Waller ISD elementary schools that serve PreK-Fifth grade students with quality educational programs that honor individual learning styles in positive and supportive environments. Among the programs and enrichment opportunities offered are: Leveled Literacy Program; Dyslexia Program; Bilingual and ESL classes; DreamBox; I-Station; Fine Arts; Title I Reading and Math; Gifted and Talented; inclusion of students with disabilities; and networked computers throughout. Jones Elementary also benefits from PTO support and an active volunteer program.

The old Herman T. Jones Elementary was located on the Prairie View A&M University campus in Prairie View, Texas. This building was once Prairie View Training School . It later became Prairie View Elementary School , Waller Jr. High, then Herman T. Jones Intermediate School, and finally Herman T. Jones Elementary School.
